Decisions! Decisions!

Arg!  I hate making decisions!  So I want some input from my "readers"

The situation: A lady in the ward is in need of a babysitter.  She has two little girls that aren't in school yet.  She needs a babysitter from 6:30ish am till 5:30ish pm, four days a week.  The older girl goes to preschool at noon so its just the little one (she's a year old) in the afternoons.

Why I want to say Yes: 1. It gives Madilyn someone to play with in the mornings.  2. A little extra money 3. It keeps me firm with my rules and on schedule (I don't allow so much TV!) 4. They have had a hard time keeping a babysitter-they've had 4 permanent sitters in the last year, not counting the in between sitters (like myself) that just watch them when one quits or can't do it one week. 5. I am at home all day anyway and it still gives me my Friday's off for my town day. (I almost feel guilty because I CAN help, I just don't want to because...

Why I want to say No: 1. Do I have to sign up with the state as a registered babysitter, especially since I'll have to claim it as extra income on my taxes...if so will I even be making enough to make it worth it? 2. It makes for a long day, except for when I get all three kids to nap in the afternoon AT THE SAME TIME 3. I don't want to be tied down, especially when Ron calls and says Hey, do you want to come with me to do...whatever? 4. Ron doesn't like the feeling that other kids are here so he can't pop in for a minute during the day...or if he gets done with work a little early and doesn't have time to get a good start on another project he can't just come home early, he thinks he has to wait until they leave.

So tell me what you think!

This week I...

Took the time to read to Madilyn RIGHT when she asked instead of saying..."In a minute, let me finish this first"

Played games with Madilyn (Candyland and Shoots and Ladders)

Made Bread AND Rolls

Finished my last Quilt Block, but decided I didn't like my 4th of July block so I got different fabric for that one, AND I got strips cut so I can piece them all together!!

I celebrated my 5th year aniversary!

I ate my first Thanksgiving dinner of the season!!

...and now its time to get started on the new week, maybe I'll get some pictures uploaded of the kids soon...

5 Reasons...

Since my last post was so 'bitchy' as I've been told!  I decided I better hurry and write a happy post.
(By the way, It did help to get it all out! I appologize if I offended anyone!)

Yesterday Ron and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Aniversary.  So here's to Ron...
FIVE Reasons Why I Still Love Ronald...

#1- because he brings excitment into our lives!
SERIOUSLY our lives would be so boring without him!  I'll have to admit, blowing up the egg WAS funny and it did make me laugh at the time!!  He's ALWAYS pulls stunts like this...such as failing to con me into giving him a hair cut by doing it himself...then giving up and shaving his head completely bald!!

#2-because he loves his family SO much!
He never takes a day off!  He works so hard, but never takes time for himself..well, except for snowmachining! But really, he works such long hours to provide for our family, and still takes such good care of his mom and grandpa!  From helping with the cows and hauling hay, to getting firewood and fixing cars...Ron always makes sure his family is taken care of!  I know I am in good hands when something goes wrong, he's there for me as much as he is for them!

#3-because he is willing to babysit!
I don't know how many dad's will offer to take their kids to work with them so you can have an easier time shopping or get the house work done in just half the time!  Madilyn LOVES working with her dad and helping him! He enjoys her company too!  That just goes to show how much Ronald loves his kids! He takes them any time he can, whether I have mutual, a girls night, or a jewelry party!

#4-because he won't let me work!
I've offered to get a job and substitute teach just to give us a little more wiggle room.  But he says no, you need to stay home with the kids.  He doesn't want anyone else to raise our family!  I love that he supports that! Being at home is where I really do want to be!

#5-because he puts up with me!
He still loves me even though I'm "lazy, sloppy, and moody"...he doesn't complain that I spend all the money, he doesn't say much when the house gets unbelievably messy...and the list goes on!  He still loves me!

So here's to Ron and just five reason why I love him!

November 10th

LAST WEEK I...

1. Made Christmas Presents for all my siblings. (I'd put a picture and tell you what they are but they all have access to my blog!)

2. Made a 'red neck draft stopper' for the door-but hey it was my own concauction so I'm pretty proud of it.

3. My AMAZING sister found the fabric I needed. I got it in the mail yesterday! This is my quilt so far...

My friend Pam got me started on it before I knew I was even pregnant with Madilyn. Our goal was to finish them before our babies were due-she was due with her second the same time as me...Well, we didn't get it done and I haven't picked it up since Madilyn was born.  I'm getting VERY VERRY close!!! Ron doesn't think I can finish it before Christmas! BUT I WILL!!  Only one more block to go, then get fabric for the setting stripes and put it together!! :D

4. I bought a new microwave since we found out that cooking eggs in their shells will blow one up!

5.  I worked out 4 times and lost 2 lbs!!  (FYI: Its not necessarily the NUMBERS I'm going for its the MUFFIN TOP  I need to get rid off!!)

Sweet Moments

Last night Landon woke up crying at his usual 2:00 feeding.  He normally doesn't bother Madilyn, but last night it woke her up.  As I was putting him back down I could hear her in her room saying something about Landon.  I went to check on her when I got Landon back in bed.  Our conversation went something like this:

"Whats the matter?"
"Landon's crying?"
"Yes, he just got hungry so I gave him a bottle."
"Oh.  Okay.  I still sleepy."
"Okay, go back to sleep, its not time to wake up yet."
"Yeah, its still dark. OH!  Where's my baby?"

-we looked in her bed but she wasn't there, I checked in her "baby's bed" and there she was with a blanket covering the box.

"She's in her bed, do you want to hold her?"
"No mom, she's okay."
And she rolled over and went back to sleep.

LAST WEEK I...

So I didn't quite stick to my plan of action but I did make some progress.  Last week I...

1. Went through my closet and donated 2 garbage bags of old clothes to D.I.

2. I got my hair colored!!

3. Did some fun Halloween Crafts with Madilyn

4. Put plastic on half of the windows

5. Got some fabric for Quilt #1-but I have a delemia:
I bought fabric two weeks ago, I cut it wrong so I went back to get more.  THEY'RE OUT!  and won't be ordering any more of that material!  ARG!  So, I guess I'll have to figure something else out! :(

6. I decided before I start anymore sewing projects I have to finish Quilt #1, So the Levi quilt and Curtains will be put on the back burner for now.

7. I only worked out 3 times, but thats better than ZERO!

8. I made it through the week with out taking any naps!

9.  I did a LITTLE bit of Christmas Shopping!  : D

Carving Pumpkins!

I can't believe I almost forgot to post about our pumpkin carving expereince!! We got a MASSIVE pumpkin from Larry's garden. It rolled around in Ron's pick-up for a day or two before he pulled it out. It was one SAD looking pumpkin! The Monday before Halloween we carved it! Madilyn was so excited, she couldn't wait for dinner to be over so we could carve that pumpkin. "It makes me so happy!" she would say!!

Anxiously watching dad cut off the top!!

She looks SO excited doesn't she? -Once she finally got to help she wasn't too sure about it!  She'd take a TINY handful out, then wipe her hands off on the towel before she would take another "pinch" out!

It didn't take too long before she got bored and started doing handstands and summersalts!

But she was right there in the middle of the action as soon as Dad started  carving!

Landon thought it was great too!

Well, tasted great anyway!!

Madilyn and her Jack-o-lantern!

She even picked out the face!  I drew three faces and this is the one she wanted-I asked her about five different time which one she wanted, she picked this one EVERY time!   When we got done and plugged it in (I forgot to buy candles so my handy man rigged it up with a lightbulb) Madilyn took one look at it and said "Oooohhhhh!  Its so CUTE!" -She must be more of a girl than a give her credit for!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
