MARCH 2010

Another month has past by the Hunting family...but considering what we've done this month, I really can't believe it isn't quite April yet.
We started the month out headed to Texas!!
We had a fun St. Patrick's Day Breakfast!
We've had fun playing outside a few days...Nice "warm" days when the wind isn't blowing are still hard to come by.
But as long as its about 43* and no wind all we need is a jacket! :)
Madilyn would still rather ride the "baby" bike instead of her big girl bike.

But I'm sure it won't be long before she finally gets it figured out and won't let Landon ride it anymore!

We got to go see some baby pigs!  Both kids loved it!
(But I was just trying not to breathe!)

Ron is already excited about our garden! He's got the "canuer" on it and rotatilled (sp?) in! He did a great job! and Landon LOVED it!
We've even planted all our seeds inside (we didn't do that last year)
Here is Madilyn in her almost completed Easter dress.  She won't get to wear it to church Easter Sunday because of conference, but hopefully it will be done the Sunday after since it didn't happen the Sunday before!

Landon LOVES baths! He was pretty disapointed he didn't get to take a bath with his sister before church on Sunday. -so disapointed that I decided I better get him his own bath...
But he didn't want to wait for the tub to fill up!
I'm going to have to watch him VERY carefully now!

St. Patrick's Day..in the eyes of a 3 year old

Ok. So I'm a little behind on my blogging-SORRY-but I'm sure nobody really minds!!

We didn't do a whole lot for St. Patty's Day.  But we started the day off by reading "Green Eggs and Ham" By Dr. Suess.  Then we made Green Eggs and Ham for Breakfast.

I let Madilyn take a few pictures (of what SHE wanted)
so here's St. Patricks Day in the eyes of a 3 year old:

(Okay, I did take this one!)
Scrambling the the eggs!

Mom and Landon!

Waiting for the eggs to cook!

Mom stirring the eggs!

Mom (again)
She actually took about 25 pictures but they were mostly of the floor, her legs, and my tush!
HAPPY PATTY'S DAY!

Texas-Take 2!

Yes, we just went to Texas for Christmas, this trip was very unexpected and quick, but I was grateful we were able to go.  (If you haven't read my last post yet, my grandmother passed away March 1st.) -BUT-it was fun to be spontaneous and do what WE wanted!!  Speaking of spontanuaty...Our plans were to go straight to Corpus Christi, Texas rather than go through Copperas Cove-where my paretns live. (It would have been MUCH quicker.)  However, as we were getting to Alberquque, New Mexico...where we were going to spend the night.  We heard that my Grandpa Evans had showed up on my parents door step the day before.  He drove straight through the night and didn't tell them he was even coming!! When we found that out and made plans with my parents, we changed our route and drove straight to Cove.  We got there at 8:30 the next morning.  Dad made us breakfast, then Grandpa Evans, Dad, Ron, and Dianna left for Corpus Christi-another 5 hour drive!!  Dad wanted to be there when his brother Thom flew in. Mom, me, and the kids finished getting mom and dad packed and headed down after lunch.

I never thought too much about New Mexico when we drove through it as a kid...its actually pretty cool-but not a place to LIVE!

Friday we got to go to the beach, it was the first time for Ron and the kids! It was a pretty cool and windy day.  I felt bad I left the kids jackets at the hotel!!

Friday night was the viewing and my cousin Julie made dinner for EVERYONE! TONS and TONS of Shish-ka-bobs! Potatoes...Salad...yum yum yum
Saturday was the funeral.  We had a small service at the church and a LONG drive to the cemetary...then back to the church for a luncheon put on by the Relief Soceity.  After that and a few hours of visting with family we headed back to Cove.

Sunday we spent relaxing and enjoying our sleep...then we headed to Dallas that night so we could tour the Dallas Cowboy stadium Monday morning!
Madilyn fell asleep while my mom read her stories RIGHT before we left!

Landon, Sunday Night when we got to the hotel!

Breakfast at the hotel! :) The kids ate SO good!

and Landon thinks he's a STUD!

Landon enjoying his time in the suite!

...But I think Ron has him beat!!

I love this shot of Madilyn and the field.

Ladon thought he was going to get to ride on Jerry Jone's personal elevator...Madilyn wasn't going to let him do it by himself!

I only had about .25 seconds to take this picture before Landon jumped back down on the field!
The WHOLE tour Landon wanted to be down and running...and Madilyn felt like she needed to compete with him for attention.  It was ONE LONG TOUR! For me anyway...Ron enjoyed it.  He could tell you all about the facts and square feet of the "biggest domed arena...and its HUMONGOUS TV!"

Once we got on the road all it did was RAIN and RAIN and RAIN!!!

This is what we got to see of Oaklahoma!!
...and Kansas
Colorado was a little better...the rain didn't hit us, but the skies weren't very blue!
...and then Wyoming it turned to snow, at least we didn't hit any snow covered wind blown roads!
(the camera died before we got back home to Idaho...but it wasn't much different, we actually got snowed on before we made it home, luckily none of it stuck...until a few days later)

We're really pretty lucky!  We couldn't have asked for better kids to travel with!
