Day 7

We've made it a full week now!  Are you even checking the blog? 

Today we...had sword fights with empty wrapping paper tubes! Landon won hands down!!

 When we were reading stories I was asking Landon what some of the pictures were, for this one he shook his finger and told me "NO NO NO!"

Madilyn was really pround of her ham and cheese sandwich she made all by herself!

And thats all for today folks! Nope nothing too exciting.  It was actually a pretty calm day with the kids!  But that's the way we like it!

Day 6-Friday

Today we finished getting all the Christmas Presents wrapped and under the tree!!

Then Landon and I took a much needed nap.

 (Staying up till 11 or 12  and up by 7 just doesn't work for me!  Especially when I'm up at least 3 times a night with kids!)

Madilyn stayed up and colored and changed her dress up and I don't know how many times!

Then we all played farm..more like run the animals over with the tractors?

and now...they've got their 2nd wind!  Just ask Allison, this video doesn't give their screaming and laughing any justice!  I was on the phone with her while I was trying to record it..or more like I was trying to talk to her while they were carrying on!

Now, hopefully I can get the kids to stay in their beds for at least a few hours so I can go watch my netflix! 

Day 4 and 5 (Wednesday/Thursday)

 Well, I'm ready for bed, but here are a few pics from today!...Uhh, yep I was pretty tuckered out. I fell asleep waiting for pics to upload last night! Glad things are finally going for you! Hope your enjoying it! We all miss you lots! Here's what we've been doing the last couple days. -I made the pictures smaller so hopefully they won't take as long to upload on your phone!

 Madilyn made us have a tea party.

Except she kept getting mad at Landon because he "kept messing everything up! He just didn't know how to play!"

Today I finished all my shopping...I hope..if not OH WELL-At least I got the most important one today!

We made cookies this afternoon...

just the place and bake kinds...

so you don't have to be jealous :) 

 

Landon peed on the floor after his bath tonight. 

I told him no no no...go potty in the toilet! 

So he ran and put himself on the toilet..then did it again on the pillow before I got the diaper on. 

(nothing in the potty) Yeah, I think I'll still wait till he's 3 at least 2 1/2!

But he sure is my big helper with firewood!

We all watched Charlie Brown's Christmas on TV before bed tonight.  Madilyn loved it!  She wanted to watch another one like it. Landon really like Snoopy! "Where Dog?!"

We miss you, but we're doing great!

Day 3

Last night was rough! Landon was up 3 times, Madilyn once. Then I woke up with a stye in my eye! Luckily we got to sleep in this morning! Landon slept in until almost 9:30..after finally talking him out of watching "toons" at 6:30. (we were able to postpone them till noon!!)

And Madilyn said she woke up with a headache "because when she sleeps too much she gets a headache." But she was proud she slept in her own bed...I think she forgot she woke up with a bloody nose though!

We made some Stockings with paper and cotton balls.  Landon wasn't too into it until we pulled out the cotton balls! 

He was a terd and didn't want his picture taken with the final project!

The kids' new favorite game is to turn off all the lights and walk around the house with the snow globe light house!

The rest of the day was pretty typical...minus the fact that Landon took a nap AND didn't come out of his bed at bedtime!

Day 2

Yesterday ended pretty normal:

 

Today we played with Mack and Trixie while Pam went visiting teaching.  Landon and Mack were buds!  Landon had to be right by Mack the whole time...and Mack ate it up!  Later, we went and got the checks in the bank, but the rest of the trip to town was discouraging...on the bright side I didn't spend much of the mula I put in the bank..except I did almost get charged $1,034.52 for some of the fabric I did get! Whew! Glad I caught that one before signing!  Of course a trip to town isn't complete without McDonald's!

Smith's invited us and Wiegman's over for Family Home Evening to put on the Nativity. 

Landon was a shepherd 

And Madilyn was ecstatic about being an angel! 

Landon really could have cared less...but he lasted a good while before getting too distracted.  He even kept his costume on much longer than I expected!

 Taylor was an excellent narrator/wise man

 The kids had a blast playing afterwards...

Your son is still loving the stroller and necklaces though...he and Colt had a nice fight over that one! They'll make GREAT dad's one day!! :) hehehe

Once we got home and Landon in bed, Madilyn got to wrap her presents for him and you!  She did SUCH a good job.  She did it all herself...cutting the paper and all!  She even let me give her a few pointers!!

Our Goodbyes~

The day finally came! It seems like a lot longer than 12 days ago that Ron was originally supposed to leave! Don't get me wrong, its been great having him around the extra two weeks.  But when you are without a paycheck, have Christmas coming, and not sure if your new job is actually going to pan out...it gets a little nerve racking and time goes by REALLY REALLY slowly...until he's actually gone!  Up until late last night he still wasn't sure if he would be needing to leaving this morning!  But the first word of good news in 12 days came our way this morning!  He gets to start a day earlier than we last thought! Woohoo!  As soon as he gets to North Dakota tomorrow he gets to start training!

Thank you so much to everyone who has been supportive and encouraging the last few intense weeks!  We are really praying things work out for us and go our way. Especially since we haven't heard a success story yet about what we are getting ourselves into!  Anytime I tell someone he is driving water truck for the oil fields they tell me almost word for word. "Its a good job.  The money is great.  But so and so said they would never do it again." Good thing we are used to the long hours!  Hopefully we can find somewhere close to live and be back in a few years!

So...per Ron's request. I will be updating the family blog DAILY for him, so he doesn't miss out on too much while we're apart!

So for today...Madilyn got to go to Primary for singing time with all the kids that will be sunbeams in January.

Smith's invited us over for dinner. Both kids about licked their plates clean! (It was delicious!)-Thanks PAM and TAYLOR. We came home read Christmas stories, tidied up the house finally, cleaned up the table and chairs. Madilyn scrubbed her table so good she almost got all the marker off!!  When she was done Landon scrubbed any hard surface he could find, including the couches!  Then Madilyn wanted to wait for family prayer until Dad got home because it was his turn!  :) Landon went to bed with out getting out once! He was mad he had to go to bed and couldn't watch toons, but once he was there he didn't fight! 

 1 night down...34792348934896389 to go!

Sleepy Landon!

About a month ago, Landon figured out how to climb out of his crib. 

 Since then nap times have been a JOKE! 

Once again we fought nap time today,
