So a few weeks ago I finally downloaded all my pictures onto the computer and erased the memory card in my camera. The program I was using wasn't up to date enough to view the videos. So I downloaded the newer version,it took it a while for it to recognize. I sat down last night to see which ones were worth keeping. As I was doing that Madilyn was sitting on my lap. I probably shouldn't post my naked 2 year old on my blog, but for you to understand what she thinks is SO FUNNY its necessary! This was one of the videos I had recorded. *I DO NOT GET IT* But Madilyn loves it when Ron throws cold water on her in the bath... We watched it once...
Then we had to watch it again...
I thought it was hilarious! I hope you did too!

7 Months!
My mom can't believe I am SEVEN months old today! Some people would beg to differ, but she could definitely use MORE exercise! She says I keep her too busy and wear her out too fast to get it done! (I just think she's LAZY!) Here's a look at a few of the milestones I've accomplished in the last seven months.

Tah-DAH! I was born after only thirty minutes of arriving at the hospital!

My big sister Madilyn taught me how to color-but she got mad every time I put the crayons in my mouth!

I was blessed by my Dad! -Man what a big day that was!

After nearly three months of refusing a pacifier I finally found my thumb! Dad was NOT happy...but mom was because I was finally quiet!

I can even do tricks! I can roll ever and suck my thumb at the same time!...until something gets in the way. Then I get M-A-D!!

I had my first Easter

Went to the Forth of July Celebrations in Menan!

If you can't find me, I'm usually tangled up in the curtains. I'll play there for hours!

I can feed myself...kind of...

ESPECIALLY papers and tags! YUM! YUM!

I'm just getting so big! I can already FISH!

Fire Wood
A few years ago we put a wood burning stove in our house. It definitely cuts down on our heating expense. For the most part it has been worth every effort of "designing", installing, wood chopping, starting fires-ONLY THE INTENTIONAL ONES!, and dealing with the mess of wood chips. On Saturday Ron went up with Lane and Blair to get our years supply of fire wood. He borrowed a 25 foot dump truck to get the job done. He left at 7:00 and said he'd be back around 4 or 5. Well, I know Ronald. He's usually at least an hour longer than he expects. These were the "delays" of the day:
1. The forest ranger came and hunted them down and spent an hour reading them the rules and regulations of cutting down fire wood. There were a dozen or so calls made to him that morning because people were taking semi's to get their wood. (Ron admits the guy was nice too them, he just had to follow through on the complaints.)
2. One of the rules was that the logs couldn't be any longer than 8 feet-they were planning on doing 12 foot logs.
3. When Lane goes to get wood he usually gets the big fur trees that you can't even put your arms around them. Therefore, they only needed to get about 5 trees to fill the two dump trucks and the trailer. This time they got the "normal" trees so they had to cut done TONS!
4. Blair attempted to cut off his knee cap. Don't worry everyone. He is just fine. Melissa (his wife) made him sit out for about an hour. Turns out it bled more than it was worth. His pants are shredded, but as for is knee...just looks like he got in a fight with a kitty cat!
5. The forest ranger came back to double check that they were following the rules because he was STILL getting calls about those semi-trucks! Oops...they only filled one dump truck legally. I guess if they are longer than eight feet its considered commercial. They got away with it, but had to make notches in the loads that weren't legal.
They finally got to our house at 9:30. Blair and Melissa still had a 45 minutes drive to home. They hurried and ate dinner and took off for home. Since it was dark and so late we waited to dump our load after church on Sunday. It was almost a catastrophe!

THE LOAD

Here she goes!

Can you see the problem that almost became the catastrophe? -oh and yes, it was MY fault for not telling him sooner! (He was just mad I was laughing at him!)

The Solution: Dustin pulled the power line out of the way using a tow strap!

The Fair!
Mom and Dad took me and Landon to the fair yesterday! I was SO excited all day long. I couldn't wait for Dad to get home from work so we could go. Mom turned on the TV so I could watch some shows while I was waiting. She thought it would distract me from wanting to go RIGHT NOW! It helped a little but at every commercial break I would ask mom if it was time to go.
As soon as Dad got home I ran to the car, got in my carseat, and buckled up! I was ready! I was so excited, but mom and dad took FOREVER to get in the car! Then we had to go to the bank. I was heartbroken when we stopped at the house again. I thought dad was going to make me take a nap before we went! But he just forgot his Mountain Dew.
The first thing I wanted to do when we got there was see the horses, cows, and chickens! I love looking at animals. I even got to pet some of the horses!
We walked around a lot. I kept telling mom I wanted to go to the fair. She said we were at the fair. I didn't get it. Mom and Dad were looking at a lot of things that weren't animals!
After that Mom and I went I rode on tons of rides! It was a blast! I didn't want to leave. I was kind of disapointed though. I couldn't go on most of the rides because I was ONE INCH TOO SHORT! Here are some pictures of the fun we had!

When Tradgedy Strikes
The other day I was in the house changing Landon so we could go to a volleyball game. Madilyn was outside playing while she was waiting for me. All of a sudden she came running in not quite in tears, "Mom, Ours garden. OURS GARDEN." She seemed a little panicked so I put things down for a minute thinking the only problem was that I left the water on too long and it puddled up in the garden. She lead me outside to find that the fence had been knocked down by the combine coming through the yard! She watched it happen and it was TRAGIC! Come to find out that Marco...the driver... was paying too much attention to Madilyn and ended up running into the fence! Here are the results!

Our Weekend Getaway!
For the company party every year, we go to the Bar J Wranglers in Jackson Hole. We usually go up early and spend a couple hours walking around the town square. Old Time Pictures is a tradition and going to the Candy Store is a must!! This year we added the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar to our list of events. I never thought I'd say this but, yes, I was kicked out of the bar! Yep...that's right it only takes one drink for me and I'm a whole new person!!! Okay, you're right...I would NEVER! But I did get kicked out because I didn't have my ID on me. Apparently you can't even get in with out it! Ace wasn't too happy and didn’t believe it accident. We went back. He was satisfied that he had that beer in the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar with his wife, now that she's finally old enough to drink. Anyway, here are a few shots-no pun intended-of our AMAZING game of pool!!

"I never thought I'd be playing pool in a bar with my wife!!"-Ronald

Me n Ron Shootin' some pool!

oops...forgot to get a beer in the pic...RETAKE

The EIGHT pounds of candy we bought at the candy store...on the way home I told Ron we were BOTH going on a diet. I told hime we couldn't eat ANY sugar. He just laughed at me and said OH ReALY? What about all that candy in the back of the car...oh yah, I guess I forgot about all that!
This year instead of fighting traffic all the way home we booked a hotel room and stayed the night. It was so much fun! But kinda really weird! It was nice that we didn't have to worry about anything, no pressure to get anything done or be anywhere. We just relaxed and had a great time. Although I never got used to not having any kids around. Its amazing how much they become apart of you-I still didn't get a full night of sleep. I think I woke up more that night worrying about the kids than I do on a normal night at home! But it was worth it!

You know you've been watching too much TV when...
When you live a good thirty minutes from town you can't excatly just run to Blockbuster and rent a good movie for the night. So we tried out Netflix. We love it-SO WORTH IT!! Well, during the days on USA they have an NCIS 3 show block. I would get Ron hooked on it if popped by the house to grab something while working. Needless to say all our netflicks the last couple months have been NCIS episodes. We usually watch them together after the kids are in bed...but sometimes...okay maybe most the time I end up falling asleep before its over. During the day, of course only when I have nothing better to do, I'll catch up on the episode(s) I've missed. Well, you know you've been watching NCIS too much when you're two year old daughter brings you the cell phone and says...
"Mom, I want to call McGee."
Mom: WHO?
Madilyn: McGee. (pause) on the TV
