Day 3

BOTH kids woke up wanting Dad this morning.  I ended up on the couch with Landon last night.  The first the he said was "Dad?" Woohoo! You ranked in over "TOONS!!"

Then Madilyn asked for you first thing this morning too.  I told her you were at work and she said, "but I thought he was coming home?"  Even though she SAYS she doesn't miss you...she really does.
"IT MAKES 'HER' SO SAD!" that you aren't here

We finally made it to the dump today!  YAY!?

I got ALL the pictures onto CD's.  Now just to delete them.  I'm afraid to.  Even though I've uploaded them to kodak gallery for my book, I don't want to have to redo all the pictures for it if it deletes them too. I'm sure it won't, but I'm not going to take any chances till its ordered!

Madilyn keeps walking around with her sunglasses on.  She tells me she needs them to see and that she wishes she couldn't see.

The other night Madilyn decided she wanted to make a snow angel, so...she did.

 After Landon ate the green beans last night....

 He decided they needed a little VANILLA flavoring. 

Yah, I don't know either? But he DEFINITELY needed a diaper change!

Tonight Madilyn wanted to share her chair with Landon...then told me to take a picture.

Merry Christmas!! (and day #1...again)

We had a great Christmas. We really enjoyed Ron being home! Christmas Eve day was a nice day just to spend with our little family! Then that evening we had our gift exchange with Ron's family.

Then, every year Grandma Hunting has a nice Christmas Eve Dinner followed by a program. This year Madilyn was old enough to sing by herself.

I don't know if she was more proud of herself for singing by herself or more excited because she got to sing in front of everyone!

Either way she was one happy girl!

Then to top they party off, there's always a pinata!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Before we left Grandma and Grandpa Hunting's Madilyn and Landon got to open new pajamas for the ride home!

SANTA CAME!!

 ...but we had to FORCE the kids to wake up at 9:00!

I'm sure it will be the last year we'll get to sleep in!

 Since October, Madilyn has been telling me she wanted Santa to bring her a Belle Dress. 

A couple nights ago she asked me if the elves were done making the presents.  I told her they probably were.  "Did they make me a Belle dress?" she asked!  I told her that we would have to wait and find out.

She hasn't taken it off since!

Santa wasn't sure what to get Landon...but he must have done a pretty good job!!

Christmas sure tuckered everyone out!  They both slept in, took a good nap, then fell asleep again with dad!

Today when we got home from dropping off dad, we came home and watched Beauty and the Beast.  Madilyn not only HAD to wear her Belle dress, but she HAD to have her hair up like Belle's!

While I was taking THAT picture Landon disappeared into the bathroom...

Not only did he dump Madilyn's ENTIRE bottle in their bath last night...he decided he better take care of his own today too!!

Another Day

Today was...

"Laundry and Movie Day" 

The kids loved it!  We just watched movies most the day while doing the laundry!

I didn't get many pictures of today though, but here a a couple funnies of today:

While I was making dinner Landon came through will the dolls in the stroller and told me "bye bye. bye bye" I just waved and said okay...bye!  He literally went outside! Well, the mud room, luckily he can't get the outside door open yet!

Madilyn hasn't cut off her count down chain for almost a week now, so today I cut about 5 loops off. While we were eating dinner she noticed it....

"(gasp) there are only (pause) 2 more days until Christmas!"

I corrected her and said, "no, three, there are three links lefts."

"But the last one IS Christmas silly!!"

Apparently you don't count Christmas Day!

We played hide and seek before we went to bed tonight.  Landon had a blast!  Me and him were partners. He would just sit there and giggle (as quietly as he could) while waiting for Madilyn to come and find us.

Madilyn asked if she could use my perfume.  I told her JUST A LITTLE! She came back and told me she dumped it all in the sink!! (Good thing I'm not attached to it!)

I left the vacuum by the garbage can today.  Landon figured out how to take out the...part that holds all the dirt.  I came running across the room expecting a big mess, but he dumped it right into the garbage for me!  What a good little boy!

Tomorrow will be clean the house for Christmas and get groceries for the Christmas Dinners -Day.  And I'll have to stay up tomorrow night to wrap Santa! CUz its my bed time!

Gone again..

Ron took off again at 4:00 this morning!

Their (Ron and Bryce's) truck was having oil pressure issues on Saturday and wouldn't be able to get into the shop until Monday afternoon.  After hearing the news they decided it would be better to come home for a couple days rather than stay in a hotel not knowing when they'd have a truck to drive again.  Just some background info...they have been driving Bryce's truck each doing a 12 hour shift. Although, Ron has been doing some truck jumping with empty trucks over there, just to get extra hours in.  He wasn't able to get his own truck until this week.  So...they will both go run Ron's truck for the couple days before Christmas, then come home and hopefully be able to hit it hard starting the Monday after Christmas!

We are really excited.  Things have been a little scary and weren't sure if it was even going to work out at times, but things are finally coming together again and right now they are looking even better than we first expected! Although, its also looking like its going to take a few months longer than we hoped to get the family moved over there.

So, here we go again!  We were pretty lazy this morning! Landon was in his jammies till LUNCH! Madilyn wanted to build a tent with ALL the blankets! (but I don't think she even played in it...GO FIGURE!)

 We played in the snow for a little bit today.  After our errands we were going to come back and build a snowman, but both kids were way too ornery!

OF COURSE!

So...little brother had to try too

Landon actually got in and had fun in the snow too! (he usually BAWLS and BAWLS!) I think its because he won't keep gloves on so his hands turn bright red and freeze instantly, PLUS, he can't walk in it very well!

I thought she did a pretty good job!  While we were making it she told me

"I just LOVE Christmas!"

I was impressed at how well BOTH kids behaved tonight!  I didn't think I'd have a chance to decorate mine, but the girls LOVED passing Landon around..and he loved all the candy they fed him!!

Love you, and I really hope I can get some sleep...BUTTHEAD!

One terrifying surprise!

So I never sleep very well when Ron is gone. This week has been no different. Saturday night I heard some strange noises. I got up and checked on the kids. Everything seemed normal so I headed back to bed.  A suburban on the other side of the yard caught my eye as I walked through the kitchen. I watched it creep through the yard and slowly pull out. It made me nervous since I didn't recognize the vehicle and it was going unusually slow, but since it was leaving I told myself there was nothing to worry about.

I headed to my dark room to see

I flipped out. I didn't know what to do...or if it was even real. I screamed and did a panic dance while wondering

who was in my house, why they were there,

and what I was going to do if I really wasn't just making it up!

Finally I heard Ron's voice while I was searching for the lights. He had come home and didn't tell me because he wanted to surprise me.

What a JERK! Surprises are supposed to be NICE, not give you panic attacks!!

But I am grateful it was him and that he is home!  Who knows what I would have done had it been someone else!

Day 7

We've made it a full week now!  Are you even checking the blog? 

Today we...had sword fights with empty wrapping paper tubes! Landon won hands down!!

 When we were reading stories I was asking Landon what some of the pictures were, for this one he shook his finger and told me "NO NO NO!"

Madilyn was really pround of her ham and cheese sandwich she made all by herself!

And thats all for today folks! Nope nothing too exciting.  It was actually a pretty calm day with the kids!  But that's the way we like it!

Day 6-Friday

Today we finished getting all the Christmas Presents wrapped and under the tree!!

Then Landon and I took a much needed nap.

 (Staying up till 11 or 12  and up by 7 just doesn't work for me!  Especially when I'm up at least 3 times a night with kids!)

Madilyn stayed up and colored and changed her dress up and I don't know how many times!

Then we all played farm..more like run the animals over with the tractors?

and now...they've got their 2nd wind!  Just ask Allison, this video doesn't give their screaming and laughing any justice!  I was on the phone with her while I was trying to record it..or more like I was trying to talk to her while they were carrying on!

Now, hopefully I can get the kids to stay in their beds for at least a few hours so I can go watch my netflix!
