July started out with a bang! We went and got fireworks from Alpine again this year. It took forever!! We waited for hours in road construction. But it was worth it. The show was spectacular. We had a party the Sunday after the 4th at Grandma Hunting’s in honor of Ronald’s birthday. Madilyn loved it-especially the “Snaps”! She loves getting together and playing with all the cousins; for the most part anyway. They love her so much that they just mall her to death, and sometimes she just needs her space. To deal with it she reacts by hitting and biting. None the less she loved it!
Allison came up for the forth of July. We started out by going to the flag raising cere
mony down at the Mud Lake Fair Grounds where we had a free breakfast. Ron ran through his pivots and we went to Menan’s big fair. Madilyn had fun with all the games and foot races. We ate lunch there then hung out at Grandma Hunting’s until it was time for the parade and then again until the fireworks. I felt bad staying there all day with Allison and Dianna. I think they would have had more fun coming back home and going up to the Hamer celebration. But at least we got to spend time together! Madilyn couldn’t wait for the fireworks to start, then fell asleep before they were over. They weren’t as great this year. We usually sit at Uncle Noel’s and lay right under them. That’s AMAZING! But this year we were late and just watched them on main street.
