Landon's 2 Year Pictures!

Jumping Bean!

Madilyn learned how to jump rope today!

She was SOO proud of herself!

She was a jumping bean ALL DAY LONG!...and everytime she did it she needed an audience!

We are SOOOO ready for a new week!

A Better week!

This week was STINKY!

1. Ron went back to work.

2. Madilyn ran a fever all weekend that ended up being an ear infection.

3. Got the meds…they make her gag and sometimes PUKE!

4. Both kids came down with coughs.

5. Landon fell off the couch onto a toy leaving a wheel imprint in his thigh for a couple days.

6. He threw a fit and knocked my scentsy off the piano splashing wax all over the wall and carpet!

7. He got in trouble at lunch. I put him back on his chair crying. He stood up thinking I was still there (he will NOT open his eyes when he cries) leaned forward off the chair…all the way to the ground.

8. Landon loves running into you (like for hugs). Be wear…sister is a moving target! Ran smack into the kitchen table! Passed up nap time…just in case. (Seems to be okay, never gave any signs of concussion but it was a scary one!!)

9. Kids feeling better = Stay up late + up before dawn (one day it was 3am the next it was 5!!)

10. Landon got in trouble again went crying off to room (with eyes closed again…can you see where this is going??) Ran into the door frame and hit the SAME spot on his forehead as the day before!

No wonder we are all so crabby!  Hopefully we can all recuperate Sunday and be back into full swing on Monday so we can enjoy the WONDERFUL Spring Rain/snow and the start of having longer days!

Madilyn LOVES watching movies with mom!  Tonight it was "A Bug's Life".  Landon wasn't too interested in movie night this time!  Instead he had a blast playing with toys and rolling around in blankets until he finally crashed!

A Ford?!

Taylor, a good family friend, was making fun of Ron for parking his pickup around the corner of the house because its a FORD!! 

He said he was going to have to get a picture of it...

well Taylor, I snapped one for you this morning before he left!!

But just so you know he STILL HATE FORD just as much, if not more!!

 Why you ask??

He spent all morning trying to get it going just so he could leave this morning! 

Landon's 2!

Landon's Birthday was a busy busy day!  We went to town to get his two year pics taken...what a stud!  He LOVED every minute of it!!  He was such a poser! I couldn't believe it!  I was craking up the whole time.  

We ran a few erronds and picked up Ron's new work pickup then came home and had a PARTY!

Landon's favorite movie is CARS! 

Madilyn couldn't wait for everyone to get there so Landon could open presents!

 Landon was so excited about the candles that he couldn't wait for us to finish singing happy birthday before he blew them out! In fact when I put them on the cake before the party he tried pretty hard to get me to light them for him right then!

 His legs just aren't quite long enough to peddle his trike...but they got it figured it out!!

 I can't decide which present is his favorite he plays with EVERYTHING! He's always going from one thing to the next.  I LOVE IT!!  But I can tell you for sure (nobody better let grandma hunting read this!!) His least favorite is the smurf blanket she made for his toddler bed!  I tried making his bed with it and he had a cow!! It had to be completly off before he would settle down for bed!  He is pretty attached to his green froggy blanket! Hopefully it will grow on him.  His dad has one JUST LIKE it...and he still uses it!!

A WEEK with Dad!

Ron's been bustin' butt in North Dakota since Christmas and hasn't been home for 6 weeks!! 
We decided it was time he got to spend some REAL time at home. 
The last week has been GREAT!!  The kids couldn't have been happier  and I felt like I was dating again! We haven't gone out so much since we got married! 
We've all enjoyed every minute of it!  Unfortunatly I didn't capture any of it with pictures.

WE...tagged along while Ron took care of some business at the Idaho Fall office, went grocery shopping, visited family, hung out at home, watched basketball, had dinner with friends, spent a day in town without kids, ate at famous dave's, went to green canyon, made a mad dash to town in a snow storm to get basketball shoes for one day of morning basket ball, bought a blue tooth, took Landon's 2-year pictures, picked up the new work pickup, had a birthday party, went to the temple, put off going back to work, cuddled with a sick little girl, spent a morning fixing a FORD, if we're lucky we'll get to keep Ron around for a couple more days until he can get the pickup in the shop, and in the end...gained back my 5 pounds!!

Now its time to get started on some projects so the rest of us can get out of here too! I've had everything packed and ready to go for a month now! So I'm sure things won't get going for us until I break down and get myself in the middle of a project!..or maybe I'll start unpacking...anything to speed up the process!! 

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day Kristy brought me some delicous homemade Oreo's because she felt bad I was by myself! And I ate every single one MYSELF! :)

Then, the kids and I made cupcakes and valentines to deliver to friends and family!

Madilyn was VERY careful!

 and amazingly so was Landon

..at least at first!!

 We had a GREAT valentine's day!   

and we loved our package we got in the mail from Grandma and Grandad! 

(Sorry, no pics!...we were too excited to open it!!)

No TV??

The kids are GLUED to the TV...all day if I let them!  Any time I tell them to go play you'd think it was a punishment!

However...

Landon is starting to really like the trains! He's gotten really good at putting them together...

Once in a while Madilyn decides she wants to be a BIG helper...and she does a great job.  This morning was one of those days!  She got ALL of us breakfast by herself, usually its just hers, but today she suprised me by getting EVERYONE breakfast!

Then, she decided Landon needed his morning diaper change.. 

I think I'll let her do it more often. 

He actually helps her and doesn't attempt to run away!!

Its been a VERY COLD WINTER! 

Thank goodness we have lots of wood to keep us warm! 

We've ALREADY gone through the first two rows!!!

I waited too long last year and never got pictures done for the kids.  This year I made sure I was on top of it!!

 ...but I'm not sure I'm happy with the poses I picked :/  Her face is a lot darker in this one than I remember it being when I picked it out!

He won't just sit and eat...he's always all over the place!

Madilyn's new "game".  She pretends she's a dog or cat and has to do everything with shoes on her hands and feet...she actually brought in her firewood with shoes on her hands!

She wouldn't even take them off for bed!

In fact they were still on when she ended up in bed with me!

But she told me I could take them off so she wouldn't scratch me.

A litte Motivation!

I got the nicest comment for my birthday from an old roommate from college.

"Just so you know I think you are super mom and there is more than once throughout my week that I think "Brittney would be doing something great with her kids right now...what would it be" and then I do it. Thanks for being such a great mom example to me!"

Little did she know that I've been really struggling with balancing everything. I've just been letting the kids watch TV and movies all day while I do my thing. I feel like I am never done so I never have time for the kids....and then I feel guilty at the end of EVERY day because all the kids want is their mom, but I am exhausted and just want to go to bed. I just can't get on top of things. So Thanks Angela! It really meant a lot to me! This is what WE did because of YOU!
